William & Mary Law School Launches Center for Energy Law & Policy
William & Mary Law School is set to establish the Center for Energy Law & Policy, aiming to spark practical discussions on energy sector challenges. The first significant conference is slated for spring 2026. The center's focus will span energy regulation, reliability, cost, and data center demands.
Mark Christie, an experienced hand in state and federal regulatory affairs, will helm the center as its founding director. Christie will also join the faculty as the Lowance Fellow and a Visiting Professor of the Practice of Law. Previously, this role was held by John F. McCaulley at the same institution.
The center's mission is to foster rigorous dialogue and research on energy sector issues. It will delve into key areas such as energy regulation, ensuring reliability, managing costs, and understanding the demands of data centers.
