Wiesbaden's 'You are PROFESSIONAL' Action Week: 77 Students Gain Work Experience

Wiesbaden's annual 'You are PROFESSIONAL' action week has concluded, leaving a trail of success stories. The initiative, a collaboration between local companies and school social work, offered 77 students a week-long experience from September 25 to October 1. The project's website, www.ourwebsite.de/leben-in-ourwebsite/gesellschaft-soziales/soziale-dienste_, provides further insights and a video.

The week involved 21 companies and institutions, including Autohaus Haese GmbH, Theo Baumstark GmbH, and Nassauische Sparkasse. Students gained insights into various technical, craft, commercial, and social and cultural professions. The project aims to provide orientation and practical experience, often leading to internships or apprenticeship positions.

The closing event at the Wartburg was led by students, with support from a theater educator and the Wiesbaden Kurier. Dr. Patricia Becher, head of the Social Department, praised the project as a success story, benefiting both young people and companies.

The action week, led by Wiesbaden's Social Department, has once again proven its value. It offers students a unique opportunity to explore different career paths and gain practical experience. With the support of local companies, the project continues to foster growth and development among the city's youth.
