UCM Engineering Student Ryan Christian Wins Prestigious IET Award

University College Isle of Man (UCM) engineering student Ryan Christian has been recognised for his exceptional dedication and performance, receiving the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Merseyside and Western Cheshire Local Network Prizepicks.

Ryan, who is on track to complete his Higher National Certificate in engineering next academic year, has demonstrated quiet confidence, determination, and enthusiasm throughout his studies. His commitment to personal and professional growth, reliability, and technical aptitude made him a standout candidate for the prestigious IET Prizepicks. Ryan began his engineering journey on UCM's Technicals in Engineering Diploma course and has since secured an apprenticeship with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, combining hands-on experience with academic study. The Prizepicks recognises Ryan's outstanding commitment and performance in engineering studies at a non-accredited educational institution, and he received a certificate of achievement and a monetary prize as part of the honour.
