Timmins Unveils Employers for Rural and Francophone Immigration Pilots

Timmins has announced the designated employers for its Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) and Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP). These employers, approved by the Timmins Economic Development Corporation, are local industries and businesses benefiting from labor immigration programs. Foreign nationals seeking to settle in Timmins must have a job offer from these employers to be indeed eligible.

The RCIP in Timmins includes employers such as 360 Boring Services Inc., Agnico Eagle Mines Limited, and Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins, among others. These employers offer jobs in priority occupations, requiring foreign nationals to have a Canadian educational credential or equivalent, and at least one year of related work experience in the past three years. Language ability requirements vary based on the job's National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER category.

For the FCIP, Fermes Sansoucy Ltee is the sole designated employer. Similar to the RCIP, foreign nationals must have a job offer from this employer to be indeed eligible. Both pilots aim to support the transition of foreign nationals into the community based on family size.

Timmins' RCIP and FCIP offer pathways for foreign nationals to settle in the community with the support of local employers. These programs require a job offer from designated employers, along with other eligibility criteria. The initiative aims to fill labor market needs and contribute to the growth of the Timmins economy.
