TexasMother Leaves Accounting Profession to Launch School with Funding from Education Choices Program
Next year, the Texas Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) will become available, offering families more educational choices. This new development in the Texas education system is part of the Texas Education Savings Account program, which is expected to be implemented soon.
One school that will be eligible for these ESAs is Braveheart Christian Academy, a new school in Arlington, Texas. Founded by Chrystal Bernard, a former CPA, Braveheart Christian Academy currently has 27 students enrolled and offers an individualized educational approach with smaller classes.
The funds from the ESAs can be used by families to choose the school of their choice, making it easier for them to find an educational environment that best suits their child's needs. According to Jean Burk, an education expert and founder of College Prep Genius, this increase of 'smart schools' in Texas is a positive step forward.
'Smart schools' like Braveheart Christian Academy offer a better way of education due to their individualized approach and smaller classes, believes Burk. She is optimistic that the availability of ESAs will foster a love for learning among students and likely contribute to an increase in the number of participating schools in Texas.
The Texas ESA program is expected to have a significant impact on Texas students, providing them with more opportunities to receive a quality education that meets their unique needs. The exact details of how the ESAs will be managed in Texas are still to be determined, but the anticipation is high as this new development promises to revolutionize the Texas education system.
