Task Designated: Role Specialist

The Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA) is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual for the role of Project Officer for Dartmoor. This exciting opportunity is part of the Dartmoor’s Dynamic Landscapes (DDL) programme, a heritage and environmental project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

**Key Responsibilities:**

As the Project Officer for Dartmoor, you will be responsible for delivering the Bike It Moor project, a key component of the DDL programme. Your main tasks will include:

1. Developing and delivering fun, inclusive, and innovative activities and events that promote active travel, such as walking, cycling, scooting, and wheeling to school. 2. Organizing practical skills sessions, including cycle and scooter skills, bike maintenance, and first aid. 3. Planning and delivering information events, like school assemblies, drop-in sessions, pop-up stands, competitions, and incentive programs. 4. Arranging day and overnight cycling and walking experiences to immerse pupils in the local green landscape and natural heritage.

**Job Details:**

- Location: Dartmoor National Park Authority office, with flexibility to work from home. - Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (flexible working options available). - Salary: £28,831 per annum (pro rata if part-time). - Contract: Fixed term for 3 years. - Reference: 02REC.

**London Weighting Allowance:** For those living within a London Borough, the organization offers a London Weighting Allowance of £4,530.

**Location and Interview Details:**

- The role involves working from the Dartmoor National Park Authority office, with flexibility to work from home. - The closing date for applications is 23:59, 16 July 2025. - Specific interview dates will be communicated to shortlisted candidates. - Interviews will take place via MS Teams on the 31 July or 01 August 2025.

**Requirements:**

- Candidates should have experience of events planning and delivering successful behavior change projects, ideally with a physical activity focus. - Experience of working with young people from diverse backgrounds and delivering engaging and interactive group workshops and activity sessions is essential. - A full DBS check is required for the role, and candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected.
