Brüder-Grimm-Schule's Class 10bR Raises Awareness in the "#Enkelhelden" Competition

Class 10bR of Brüder-Grimm-Schule in Neu-Isenburg has made a significant impact in the fight against the grandparent scam, participating in the Hessian Police's "#Enkelhelden" competition.

The students' innovative approaches to educating about the methods of tricksters have earned them recognition and a visit to the South East Hesse Police Presidency in Offenbach. Their efforts resulted in them reaching 18th place statewide.

The class's educational efforts were not limited to the classroom. They developed engaging videos, digital content, and role-plays that illustrated how the grandparent scam operates. In a collaborative effort, they worked closely with the Hessian Police to ensure the information was accurate and up-to-date, enhancing the credibility of their educational efforts. They also conducted interactive workshops with seniors in the community, teaching prevention strategies and what steps to take if targeted.

During their visit to the police presidency, the students gained an exciting insight into the work of the police. They presented their project and discussed further measures for fraud prevention with experts from the E4 department of the police. Police Commissioner Marco Gonnermann supported the class in their project, according to the school.
