Scholarly Recognitions - August 23rd Announcements
In the summer term of 2023, several students at the institution excelled academically, earning recognition in the institution's Academic Excellence program. The program honours students who excel in Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, and Undergraduate Certificate programs.
Samantha Nelson, who graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, was among those recognised on the Honor Roll with Distinction. McKenzie Maselka, another Bachelor of Fine Arts student, this time in Illustration, was recognised on the President's List.
Maura Jean Kelch, who holds an Undergraduate Certificate in Graphic Design, also received Honor Roll with Distinction recognition. The Honor Roll with Distinction is one of the three levels of recognition offered by the Academic Excellence program, the others being the Honor Roll and the President's List.
Joining these students on the President's List were Elizabeth Brown, Jaclyn Marr, and Anthony Carnegie, all Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration students. Kristin Weidemann, another Graphic Design student, also made the President's List.
The Academic Excellence program is a celebration of academic excellence among the institution's students. It does not have any age, gender, or nationality requirements for students to be eligible for recognition. Dr. Meryl P. Epstein, Dean of Academic Affairs at the institution, praised the Honor Roll recipients for their commitment to their academic journey and leading by example for their peers.
The Summer 2023 term concluded on August 4th, and the names of the Honor Roll recipients can be found on the Academic Excellence page of the institution's website. The exact number of Honor Roll with Distinction recipients in Summer 2023, beyond those named, was not specified in the provided information.
The Academic Excellence program encourages students to continue striving for excellence in their academic journeys. Students who earn Honor Roll recognition will receive an official letter of recognition and a resume honor for their consistent hard work and talent.
