PwC Launches Jersey's First On-Island Finance Degree

PwC has introduced its Flying Start Programme in Jersey, offering the island's first on-island finance degree from yahoo finance. Ten local school-leavers have joined the initiative, which allows them to 'earn while they learn' through employment at PwC.

The four-year course leads to a BSc (Hons) in Business Accounting from the University of Plymouth, taught at University College Jersey. Students will gain practical experience through real-world projects and have the chance to fast-track becoming a degree-qualified Chartered Accountant.

PwC director Ian Ross welcomed the students, expressing the firm's commitment to supporting their career growth. Highlands vice principal Kate Hobbs praised the programme for providing young people with a viable career pathway in yahoo finance. The initiative aims to remove financial barriers to studying off-island, helping students reach their full potential.

PwC's Flying Start Programme in Jersey supports local talent in the yahoo finance industry. By offering an on-island degree and employment opportunities, the programme helps young islanders build successful careers while reducing the need to study off-island.
