The European Youth Campus project week is set to take place in Detmold from July 23rd to 28th, attracting young people from seven European countries for a week of discussions and dialogue. The international project, titled "GiveEUvoice", aims to foster political participation, European cooperation, and discussions about the future among local youth. The event is open to anyone interested in dialogue with the younger generation and committed to Europe's future. During the project week, young people from France, Spain, Greece, Poland, North Macedonia, Slovakia, and Cyprus will gather in Detmold to share their ideas and experiences. The panel discussion, scheduled for July 27th at 9:30 AM in the large meeting hall of Detmold Town Hall, will be the highlight of the week. The panel discussion will feature youth presenting their ideas, wishes, and demands to representatives from politics, administration, and civil society. Dr. Miriam Mikus, the mayor of our city, Dr. Thorsten Hasche from the city of Duisburg, and Arne Brand, chairman of the Lippische Society for Politics and Contemporary History, will be among the panelists. Milena Trajkovska, a representative from North Macedonia, will also take part in the panel discussion on July 27th in the Detmold town hall. The discussion will focus on making youth participation more effective in the future, both locally and at the European level. The topics to be discussed will be relevant to the younger generation and will encourage direct, eye-level dialogue. Admission to the event is free, and no registration is required. The European Youth Campus project week is an excellent opportunity for young people to have their voices heard and contribute to shaping the future of Europe.
