PAMA Introduces 'Legal Memoranda' Course in Strategy to Enhance Training
The Public Authority for Minors' Affairs (PAMA) in Kuwait is making significant strides in strengthening its legal system, as reflected in its ongoing training programs. These initiatives are aimed at developing the practical capabilities of its legal cadres, reinforcing the legal system within government institutions, and promoting institutional justice.
Dalal Al-Nouri, Acting Director-General of the Public Authority for Minors' Affairs, recently confirmed the Authority's commitment to a work environment focused on merit and professional growth. In an interview with the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), she emphasised the importance of these training programs in elevating government performance.
Minister of Justice Nasser Al-Sumait, who chairs the PAMA's Board of Directors, was briefed on the Authority's initiatives to strengthen legal competencies and enhance employee training. One of the most notable initiatives is the "Preparing Legal Memoranda" course, the first of its kind launched by the PAMA. This course is designed to improve the quality of legal decisions within the Authority by equipping participants with professional drafting skills.
The legal training initiative by the PAMA will continue with more advanced and diverse programs. These upcoming programs are designed to deepen specialization and enhance the legal services provided to those under the Authority's care. The training programs reflect the PAMA's broader commitment to developing competencies relevant to public and social service roles, including legal and regulatory awareness.
While specific details about exclusive legal training programs targeting PAMA employees' legal skills are not directly stated, the Authority's partnerships with organisations like the International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) demonstrate a focus on capacity building through exposure to social care, education, and volunteerism. These programs, which primarily emphasise social responsibility, communication, teamwork, and volunteer service skills, likely complement legal knowledge for those involved in child and minor affairs.
The PAMA's legal training initiatives are part of its efforts to contribute to the overall improvement of the Kuwaiti legal system. By investing in the development of its legal cadres, the Authority aims to ensure that its decisions are based on the highest standards of professionalism and legal accuracy. This commitment to legal training is a testament to the PAMA's dedication to upholding the rights and best interests of minors in Kuwait.
