Over 200 Students Lead Clean-up Week in Neuwied
Over 200 students from Kunststein primary school in Engers took part in a special Clean-up Week, aiming to instil a sense of environmental responsibility. The children, along with numerous other volunteers, scoured the city of Neuwied to collect litter.
The young eco-warriors, totalling 207, targeted their school grounds, nearby playgrounds, and even the railway embankment. They were joined by various groups across the city, all united in their mission to tidy up Neuwied.
The children were surprised by the extent of the littering, with many expressing shock at the amount they found in nature. Despite this, they remained enthusiastic and committed to their task. Their efforts did not go unnoticed. Mayor Jan Einig lauded their dedication, praising their environmental awareness and community spirit.
