Tribhuvan University Institute of Science and Technology Announces B.Sc Program Admission for 2077

The Tribhuvan University Institute of Science and Technology (IOST) has opened admissions for the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) program in the academic year 2077, as announced by the Office of the Dean at IOST, Kirtipur.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the B.Sc program, applicants must have completed their Plus2 Science or ISc groups with English. The specific eligibility criteria vary depending on the group:

• For Biology group applicants: They must obtain a minimum grade C or a total of 200 marks in Biology and Chemistry.
• For Chemistry group applicants: The requirement is similar to that of the Biology group, with a minimum grade C and a total of 200 marks.
• For Physics group applicants: They must have a minimum GPA of 1.6 and a final Grade C as the minimum.
• A-level students with a minimum grade E can also apply through the Combined Model Admission Test (CMAT).

Admission Process

The admission process involves a written entrance exam, which consists of 80 marks and lasts 1 hour 45 minutes, followed by an interview. Required documents typically include the entrance exam application form filled online, proof of payment of entrance exam fees (Rs 1100 deposited at Global IME bank with voucher number/transaction ID), academic transcripts showing Plus2/ISc or equivalent qualification with required grades, and identification documents (such as citizenship certificate).

Entrance exam timings for Biological and Physical groups are as follows: Biological Group - 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Physical Group - 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The deadline for submitting the application form is till 28th of Falgun 2077 BS in respective campuses/colleges. The last date to submit the form for payment of double fee is Chaitra 5, 2077.

The entrance examination fee should be deposited to the current account no. 045001000991070000001 at Nepal Bank Limited, Kirtipur branch of the Institute of Science and Technology.

Examination and Admission

The annual examination of the students will be held in the month of Poush 2078. Students who pass the entrance examination will be admitted based on merit within the prescribed quota. The entrance examination program has been published, and the students' entrance exam scores will be used to determine admission.

Students can be admitted to any campus/college based on their entrance exam scores and merit. The program is applicable to the affiliated campuses of Tribhuvan University Institute of Science and Technology Studies. Information about the entrance examination center will be published later.
