Mother accused of aiding 13-year-old son in plotting school shooting, reportedly as a reward for babysitting.

In a shocking turn of events, a 33-year-old woman named Ashley Pardo from San Antonio, Texas, has been arrested and charged for allegedly facilitating her 13-year-old son's planned mass shooting at Jeremiah Rhodes Middle School.

The authorities discovered white supremacist slogans and symbols, an improvised explosive device, handwritten lists of mass shooters and their victims, and evidence of an obsession with violence in the family's home. Pardo is accused of buying guns, ammunition, tactical gear, and loaded magazines for her son, knowing his violent intentions.

Specific charges facing Ashley Pardo include child endangerment and criminal negligence related to abandoning or endangering a child. She was previously arrested for pointing a shotgun at a baby two years earlier and was recently taken into custody again due to her involvement in her son’s plans. Pardo is currently out on bail with conditions that prohibit contact with her children, alcohol use, and possession of firearms, and she is required to wear an ankle monitor.

The boy is charged with terrorism and is accused of attempting to carry out acts of mass violence at Rhodes Middle School. Police found references to mass shooter Brenton Tarrant and explosives in the home. The case continues to develop with court hearings scheduled for the son.

Rhodes Middle School's principal issued a statement to parents on Facebook regarding the incident. However, some parents have expressed concern about the lack of communication from the school regarding the incident.

The boy was allowed back on campus after spending time at an alternative program, despite the findings of violent drawings and maps of the school. The school later posted on social media to inform parents that students should not bring backpacks to the school gates for the remainder of the academic year.

The boy's fascination with white supremacist mass shooters led him to plan an attack at Rhodes Middle School. His grandmother reported her concerns to the police after he told her he was going to be famous before leaving for school.

It's important to note that children under the age of 18, who have been arrested in relation to a crime, are awarded anonymity until adulthood or up until their case is transferred to an adult court. As a result, the boy's name will not be disclosed in this article.

Ashley Pardo has become the first person in Bexar County history to face a charge of aiding in the commission of terrorism. UNILAD has contacted San Antonio Independent School District for comment.

Some parents have expressed concern about the safety of their children on social media, and it is hoped that further updates and increased communication from the school will help alleviate these concerns. The case is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
