Ignite Bootcamp: RIDE 2025 Launches at MIT-WPU, Aiming to Create 1,500 Student-Led Startups

In a significant move towards fostering entrepreneurship, the Ignite Bootcamp: RIDE 2025 was launched at MIT-WPU during their RIDE 2025 event. This initiative, driven by a partnership between the Foundation and Dr. Vishwanath Karad of MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), is set to empower over 7,500 second-year graduation students across 30 departments and 12 schools of MIT-WPU.

Dr. Rahul Karad, the administrator of MAEER's MIT and executive president of MAEER's MIT and MIT World Peace University, and chief initiator of MIT School of Government, founder of NLC, BCS, NTC, NWP, and Sarpanch Sansad of MIT World Peace University, believes that the Ignite Bootcamp is not just about starting businesses, but about shaping confident and creative problem-solvers ready to lead in a rapidly changing world.

The bootcamp, a credited course for students from all departments of MIT-WPU, aims to train students to create real-world startups through a structured learning journey. It is offered at zero cost to the university and is designed to foster an entrepreneurial mindset, encouraging students to apply their knowledge in practical and high-risk environments to solve real-life challenges.

Dr. Rahul Karad expressed that the collaboration with the Foundation is a crucial step towards creating impact beyond the classroom. The top 150 startups from the Ignite Bootcamp: RIDE 2025 will be presented at the Start-up Expo 2025, which will take place from 11-14 August. MIT-WPU will lead the initiative in selecting startups, providing initial funding of ₹1 lakh to the top 10 for prototype development, and offering incubation and acceleration support.

The goal of the Ignite Bootcamp: RIDE 2025 is to create over 1,500 student-led startups, a significant contribution to India's growing emphasis on entrepreneurship as a catalyst for economic development. It is worth noting that the Ignite program of the Foundation is already impacting over 150,000 students in more than 1,000 institutions worldwide.

As the Ignite Bootcamp: RIDE 2025 continues to gain momentum, the top three startups from the Start-up Expo 2025 will be presented live to secure additional funding, incubation, prizes, and trophies. This initiative is a testament to MIT-WPU's commitment to nurturing innovation and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among its students.
