Marine Veteran Nigel Edge Charged in Deadly NC Bar Shooting
A Marine veteran, Nigel Edge, is accused of a deadly shooting at a waterfront bar in Southport, North Carolina. Edge, who served nearly six years in the Marines and was awarded the Purple Heart, allegedly opened fire from a boat on the bar, killing three and injuring eight. He was detained by the Coast Guard about a half-hour after the shooting and later arrested. Edge is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and five counts of attempted murder, among other charges. His motive remains under investigation.
