Landshut's 'Resource Detectives' Teaches Recycling to Second & Third Graders
The 'Resource Detectives' project, a free educational initiative, is now open to all second and third graders in the city and district of Landshut. This collaborative effort between the Landshut Environmental Station, the Building Authority, and Waste Management aims to teach children about recycling and environmental protection, while also boosting their self-confidence and that of their parents.
Initiated by the Landshut Environmental Station, the 'Wertstoffdetektive' project invites primary school children to explore the world of recycling firsthand. Teachers can register their classes at www.umweltstation-landshut.de/fuer-die-jugend/wertstoffdetektive/. The project involves field trips to local recycling centers, providing hands-on experience for the young detectives.
The project's goal is twofold: to educate children about sustainability and recycling, and to empower both the children and their parents by fostering a sense of self-efficacy.
The 'Resource Detectives' project is an innovative way to engage young minds in the crucial topic of recycling and environmental conservation. By offering free, interactive learning experiences, the project seeks to create a lasting impact on the next generation of environmental stewards in Landshut.
