Kulturstrolche Program Kicks Off, Bringing 2,000 Children to Local Institutions

The Kulturstrolche program, aimed at fostering cultural encounters between children and local institutions, kicked off its new year with second graders from Dulken's primary schools. Mayor Sabine Anemüller, culture department head Nicola Nilles, and Claudia Wolters, head of board coordination, joined the event. Thanks to news' sponsorship, all second graders can participate, with around 150 events planned at 11 cultural locations.

The Kulturstrolche program, funded by the Kultursekretariat Gütersloh, will involve about 2,000 children in the 2025/2026 school year. Children will explore their city's cultural institutions in class groups over three years, regardless of their families' resources or interests. They will have opportunities to look behind the scenes at the festival hall and the gallery in the park, and meet cultural creators personally. News, which also sponsors the children's T-shirts, has made this wide participation possible.

The Kulturstrolche program, with its goal of creating cultural encounters for children, is set to engage around 2,000 young participants in the 2025/2026 school year. With the support of news, all second graders can join, with a packed schedule of around 150 events at 11 cultural locations. The program, funded by the Kultursekretariat Gütersloh, ensures that children from all backgrounds can discover and engage with their city's cultural institutions.
