Kazakhstan's Dual Education Enrollment Surpasses 108,000 Students

Over 108,000 students in Kazakhstan are now enrolled in dual education programmes at 552 universities, in collaboration with over 18,000 companies. This was discussed at the 43rd meeting of the Berlin Eurasian Club (BEK) in Astana, which focused on Kazakh-German cooperation in dual education and water technologies.

The event, opened by Deputy Foreign Minister Roman Vassilenko, attracted over 100 representatives from both countries. It featured two panels: the first on dual education, with German partners involved in its methodological development. Alexander Hochradel from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research reaffirmed Germany's support for Kazakh dual education.

The second panel discussed effective water resource management, given the impact of climate change in Central Asia. An International Center for Dual Education has been established at the Allur Automobile Plant in Kostanai, in collaboration with the Erfurt Education Center.

The BEK meeting highlighted the progress and importance of Kazakh-German cooperation in dual education and water resource management. With over 108,000 students benefiting from dual education programmes, and an International Center for Dual Education established, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to these collaborative efforts.
