Hurricane Priscilla Heads Towards Los Cabos and La Paz

Hurricane Priscilla, a category 2 storm, is heading towards Los Angeles and La Paz. Heavy localized rains are expected, with up to 150 millimeters predicted in the coming days. Governor Víctor Castro Cosío urges residents to stay informed and avoid panic buying.

Priscilla, located 370 kilometers south of Cabo San Lucas, packs sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 195 kilometers per hour. The ports of Los Angeles are closed to small navigation, and classes are suspended in both cities. Over 240 people have sought shelter in Los Angeles, with 21 shelters open. The hurricane has caused significant runoff, leading to the suspension of public transport and work for state and municipal government workers.

Residents are advised to stay updated on the hurricane's progress and follow safety guidelines. The governor asks for calm and preparedness as the storm approaches.
