The Ohio River Valley served as a battleground for ideas, identities, and ambitions during a period spanning from the 1750s to the War of 1812. Many conflicts in the region during this time were played out on a deeply personal level, with unsanctioned groups fighting vendetta-fueled wars against hated and misunderstood foes and their families.
French will guide viewers through a nuanced look at this turbulent era, focusing on struggles over land, identity, and survival that played out far from traditional battlefields. The program will explore the complex and often overlooked stories of the lands along the Ohio River and Northern Kentucky during the aforementioned time period.
