Haryana CET Examinations in 2025 to be carried out under close scrutiny by the police, as per instructions from the DGP

In preparation for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2025, Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujeet Kapur has issued detailed instructions to maintain a fair, peaceful, and transparent examination.

The security arrangements for the CET are extensive, with senior police officers ensuring robust security measures at examination centres. District police chiefs will inspect centres a day before the exam and patrol alongside deputy commissioners on exam days. Checkpoints will be set up to monitor suspicious vehicles entering from outside the city, starting from the evening before the exam.

To prevent any disruptions, Section 163 prohibitory orders under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, will be imposed within a 500-meter radius of all examination centres on the day of the exam. Additionally, no vehicles will be allowed to park within a 200-meter radius of the exam centres.

To block unfair means, photocopy and printing shops near exam centres will be closed on exam days. Invigilators inside exam halls are also prohibited from carrying mobile phones or any electronic gadgets to maintain exam integrity.

Police will use local wireless networks for communication during the exams, avoiding mobile networks for secure coordination. The DGP has urged candidates, guardians, and the public to cooperate and report any suspicious activities immediately via police or the emergency helpline 112.

The CET exams are for the "Group-C" posts recruitment under the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC). Approximately 13.48 lakh candidates are eligible to appear in the examination this year. The state government has directed deputy commissioners to appoint an adequate number of duty magistrates for the exam.

A large number of candidates will arrive at examination stations by train or bus the evening before the exam. Haryana schools are ordered closed on July 26 to aid in smooth exam conduct, and traffic and transportation arrangements are made to facilitate candidates with special bus services and appeals to the public to avoid unnecessary travel on July 26 and 27.

Haryana Police is committed to ensuring a fair and peaceful CET-2025. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has also appealed for minimal travel on July 26 and 27 to maintain a smooth traffic system for the candidates. The review of arrangements for the CET examination was conducted by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday.
