New Dean Appointed at Park University's College of Education and Health Professions

Timothy Hanrahan, Ph.D., has been appointed as the new dean of Park University's College of Education and Health Professions, effective July 12, 2021. Hanrahan brings a wealth of experience in education and administration to his new role. Before joining Park University, his educational and professional career spanned from 2005 to the present. He earned his Doctorate degree in educational leadership from Walden University in Minnesota, and his Master of Arts degree in teaching, curriculum, and instruction from the University of Central Missouri.

Prior to his tenure at Park University, Hanrahan was a teacher and coach within the Columbia, Mo., Public Schools from 2005-13. He then served as assistant professor of physical education and division chair of education, human performance, and humanities at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., from 2013. During this time, Hanrahan also held the position of associate dean of faculty development at William Woods University since 2018.

In his role as dean, Hanrahan will oversee the curricular, personnel, budgetary, and administrative affairs of the College of Education and Health Professions. The college is a key component of the University's academic structure, consisting of the School of Education and the School of Behavioral and Health Sciences, which includes departments of nursing, social work, and sociology and psychology.
