Graduation Event of 2022
The Indian Institute of Art & Design (IIAD) celebrated a day of pride and achievement as they held their Convocation Ceremony on 28th January 2023 at the India International Centre. The event was attended by esteemed guests including Ms. Mandy Ure (Dean, Kingston School of Arts, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Sustainability & Inclusion, Kingston University), Mr. Damian Chapman (Head, School of Design, KSA, Kingston University), Mr. Ajit Chadha (Chairperson), Dr. Jitin Chadha (Founder & CEO), and Prof. Usha Patel (Director, Academics) of the IIAD.
The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the esteemed guests. Ms. Ure, in her speech, encouraged the graduates to stay true to themselves and never give up on their dreams. Mr. Chapman acknowledged the importance of the design field and praised the graduates for their dedication to continued learning.
Dr. Jitin Chadha delivered a congratulatory speech, expressing that the institution will always be there for the graduates for help, support, or guidance. Prof. Usha Patel spoke about the hard work of the students and the opportunities available in the design domain.
The occasion was marked by a joyous atmosphere with families and friends cheering the graduates as they received their degrees. Students from Communication Design, Fashion Design, and Interior Architecture & Design from the batch 2018 - 2022 were awarded their degrees. Students who completed their Post Graduation in Fashion Business Management and Fashion Design in the year 2022 were also awarded their master's degrees.
Jessica Toppo from Fashion Business Management (2020 - 2022) and Aishwarya Shyam Kumar from Communication Design (2018 - 2022) addressed the convocation, sharing their personal journeys and cherished memories at the institution. The ceremony ended with a group photo session, capturing the spirit of the day.
The event was followed by a link to the full video of Convocation Ceremony 2022, allowing those who could not attend to share in the joy of the occasion. All course leaders, professors, and lecturers of the institution attended the ceremony, making it a memorable day for everyone involved with IIAD.
