Graduation ceremony at Park University's Kansas City branch scheduled for May 7th
Josh Rowland, Top Innovative CEO in Banking, to Deliver Keynote Address at Park University Commencement
Josh Rowland, the CEO and vice chairman of Lead Bank, has been named one of the Top 10 Most Innovative CEOs for 2018 by INV Fintech. This recognition comes as he prepares to deliver the keynote address at the Kansas City Area Commencement at Park University on May 7, 2022.
Rowland, who holds a Ph.D. in English literature from Yale University and a Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School, has a distinguished career in both academia and law. Prior to joining Lead Bank in 2008, he practiced law as a commercial litigator at two American Lawyer 100 firms.
In addition to his legal background, Rowland has been involved in various community organisations. He served as the immediate past chair of Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault and currently sits on the boards of the Kansas City Symphony and the Kansas City Art Institute.
The ceremony on May 7 will see 469 Park University students eligible to graduate, with 331 scheduled to receive a bachelor's degree, associate degree, and/or undergraduate certificate, and 138 students expected to receive a master's degree and/or graduate certificate.
Rowland's accomplishments in the banking sector have not gone unnoticed. In 2018, he was awarded the Community Banker of the Year for the Central Region by the Independent Community Bankers of America. He has also been a featured speaker at national banking conferences, including Bank Innovation 2018, Lend Connect 2018, and FintechTalents 2020.
The event will take place at the Community of Christ Auditorium in Independence, Mo., starting at 10 a.m. It promises to be an inspiring occasion, with Rowland's insights and experiences offering valuable guidance to the graduating students.
