Gavin Girard, Class of 2025, Returns to His Roots in Oberlin
Gavin Girard, a proud alumnus of Oberlin College, has returned to the town where he made lifelong friends and had unique experiences. During his time at Oberlin, Girard was a member of the varsity men's lacrosse team and worked as a student assistant in the sports information department. He also worked at the Dionysus Disco, the campus bar and music venue, and was actively involved in Oberlin’s chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Girard, who earned a BA in economics with a business concentration from Oberlin, is now giving back to the community that nurtured him. He is currently residing in the same town where he made lifelong friends and engaged with an eclectic community.
Girard's experiences at Oberlin have equipped him to assist the next generation of Obies. As a student-athlete at a college that values both academics and athletics, he immersed himself in the unique opportunities and experiences that Oberlin offers.
Now, Girard is helping the next generation of Oberlin students find their fit. He offers campus visits, high school meetings, and conversations about interests and future aspirations to help prospective students navigate their way through the college application process.
Girard is passionate about helping the next generation of Oberlin students. He believes that the college offers an immersive experience with unique opportunities and experiences that can shape a student's future.
Oberlin is a town that is special due to its unique opportunities and experiences. It is a place where students can learn, grow, and build lasting relationships. For Girard, it was the perfect place to spend his college years, and he is happy to be back.
