The much-anticipated Freeborn County Fair 2024 is fast approaching, and here's what you need to know to ensure a smooth and successful experience.

Firstly, it's important to note that the General Cloverbud exhibit limit is as follows: Level 1 participants can present one project, Level 2 participants can present two projects, and Level 3 participants can present three projects. For those involved in Showmanship classes, it's essential to sign up during your fair registration.

Late entries will still be eligible for blue, red, or white placing and related ribbon premiums, but they will not qualify for county fair purple ribbons, State Fair, or State trip advancement. For more detailed information about Showmanship classes, you can refer to the Animal Science section in the 4-H Premium Book.

For 4-H livestock, the Cloverbud limit is one animal per species. Registration for the fair opens on May 27 and closes on June 23 at 11:59 pm. All registrations must be done online through the FairEntry system.

4-H livestock stalling and check-in/weigh in will take place on July 27 and 28 at the county fair. Each exhibit/animal needs to be entered online using FairEntry to receive premiums, awards, and state trips.

Livestock Interviews will be held on Wednesday, July 23 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm in the Fairlane Building at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds.

All projects must be entered by families in FairEntry by June 23. General judging day for 4-H projects is July 28. Project classes are based on grades completed as of June 2025.

Please note that the exact date for the 2024 Freeborn County Fair has yet to be announced. For accurate and detailed information, you should contact the organizers of the Freeborn County Fair directly or check the official FairEntry website for Freeborn County Fair registration details.
