Employment Visit during Pentecost

The Landshut district education coordinator organised an enlightening "Job Tour" for a group of 10 teenagers during the first week of the summer holidays in 2025. The tour, a recurring event, provided these young minds with valuable insights into various sectors, including IT, heating and sanitary engineering, steel processing, and glass manufacturing.

The tour commenced with a visit to SPIE SE in Ergolding, where the teenagers had the opportunity to process steel and create a paperweight in the shape of a locomotive. They then moved on to Aristotherm in Ergolding, where they crafted a pen holder from sheet metal.

In the realm of IT, the teenagers visited ITIS AG in Altheim, where they were introduced to the field by performing various tasks on computers and servers. Schott AG in Landshut followed, where they worked with glass, melted and processed it, and built a digital dice, with the added excitement of gold-plating a metal ring, a central component of the digital dice, themselves.

The tour also included a stop at a construction site, offering the teenagers a glimpse into the daily workings of the construction industry. Lüftungs- und Klimatechnik Feistl and Ergomar were among the participants in the tour.

However, the teenagers did not specify their experiences or impressions gained during the tour. It is expected that further information and registration options for the upcoming Job Tour will be announced in advance.

It is worth noting that the upcoming Job Tour does not appear to involve visits to specific schools or educational institutions, unlike previous tours. Additionally, the search results do not specify the names of companies in which the teen teams will participate during the summer holidays of 2025. The Job Tour of 2025 also does not seem to include any hands-on workshops with physical materials like metal, glass, or paperweights, unlike the previous tour.

Regardless, the Job Tour offers a unique opportunity for teenagers to explore various industries and gain practical insights into their daily operations. Stay tuned for more information about the upcoming Job Tour!
