EfM Celebrates 50 Years With New Courses and Online Access

Education for Ministry (EfM) marks its 50th anniversary this year, celebrating half a century of theological education. To engage more people, EfM is introducing new course options and an online portal on Pathwright, a popular online course platform. Over 120,000 individuals have participated in the programme since its inception in 1975.

The traditional four-year course will now be known as EfM: Classic. Joining it is a new one-year option, EfM: Wide Angle, designed to attract those with less time to commit. Additionally, EfM: Reflections, a series of short study groups, will be offered for those seeking a more flexible learning experience.

To make the course more accessible, EfM is launching an online portal on Pathwright, a leading online course platform, for some of the four-year course's curriculum. This will allow students to learn at their own pace, regardless of location.

An anniversary celebration will take place from June 5 to June 8 at the University of the South. The event will feature a keynote address by the Rev. Stephanie Spellers and a concert by Lilli Lewis. A commemorative book, 'Education for Ministry - 50 Years of Engaging, Responding, and Reflecting', has also been published to mark the occasion.
