Dr. Vishal Narayan Named Associate Dean at UConn School of Business
Dr. Vishal Narayan, a renowned marketing scholar, has been appointed Associate Dean of Graduate Business Programs at the University of Connecticut School of Business. The appointment follows a successful academic career marked by influential research and global teaching experience.
Dr. Narayan's research, published in prestigious journals like Marketing Science, Management Science, and the Journal of Marketing, focuses on leveraging consumer-level data from social media for marketing and policy decisions. His work explores diverse topics, from the impact of health policy and minimum wage increases on consumer perceptions to the competition between modern and traditional retailers and the effects of economic migration on brand consumption in rural markets.
Before his appointment, Dr. Narayan served as a marketing professor at the University of Connecticut since 2022. He has also taught Marketing Management, Digital Marketing, and Consulting Practicum in various MBA and Executive MBA programs across the US, Singapore, China, and India.
