Competent Youth Triumph: Certiport by Pearson Declares 2025's Global Microsoft Office Specialists Champions
The 23rd annual Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championship concluded in Orlando, Florida, from July 27 to 30, 2025. This prestigious competition, organised by Certiport, recognises the skills of students aged 13 to 22 in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
This year's challenge was unique as competitors were asked to create a series of documents for Limbitless Solutions, a non-profit organisation based at the University of Central Florida. Limbitless Solutions is dedicated to increasing accessibility and empowering children and adults in the limb-difference community. They develop and evaluate innovative technology, such as muscle-based biosensing, multi-gesture bionic arms, and hands-free wheelchair control devices.
In the final round, over 190 finalists demonstrated their Microsoft Office knowledge, application skills, and creative talents in an exam. The competition was fierce, but the winners emerged.

These technologies are currently in national clinical trials.
Undergraduate students from various academic perspectives engage in project-based learning, professional development, and research experiences at Limbitless Solutions. This collaboration not only benefits the students but also contributes to the development of innovative solutions for the limb-difference community.
The 2026 MOS World Championship will be hosted at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel, Anaheim, California, from July 26-29, 2026. The competition is open to students who have completed a qualifying MOS certification exam to demonstrate their mastery of Microsoft Office technology.
The MOS World Championship continues to inspire and challenge students to excel in using Microsoft Office tools while making a positive impact on the world.
