Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation (CIIF): Nurturing Startups in India

Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation (CIIF), the dedicated startup incubation center at Chitkara University in Punjab, offers a comprehensive support system for startups in India. Since its launch in 2015, CIIF has backed 101 startups, engaging with over 5,000 startups and mentoring more than 200 ventures.

CIIF's support system includes financial funding and investment opportunities, structured incubation framework with accelerator programs, extensive mentorship from industry experts and investors, access to prototyping tools and marketing resources, capacity-building through workshops, competitions, and networking events, guidance and evaluation for startup sustainability and scaling, and collaboration and backing from governmental and state agencies.

One of the startups that has benefited from CIIF's support is Adiabatic, a startup redefining sustainable energy solutions. CIIF provided prototyping support, investor access, and industry networking, helping Adiabatic take its innovation from lab to market. Adiabatic's manufacturing facility is capable of producing 5,000 units annually of its intelligent, high-performance lithium-ion battery packs.

Another success story is Studycaller, an edtech startup that has seen rapid growth due to CIIF's focused interventions. One-on-one mentoring, strategic investor connections, and industry collaborations facilitated by CIIF have played a significant role in Studycaller's growth.

In the healthcare sector, Svastek, a healthtech startup, has received Rs. 2 crore funding from IAN Angel Fund for its patented Respiratory NIV mask with a unique tube-insert design. CIIF has been instrumental in helping Svastek transform their bold vision into tangible, life-changing solutions through product development mentoring and critical funding facilitation.

Aumsat, a deeptech startup, has addressed over 2,600 pipeline leaks and mapped 1.5 lakh km of infrastructure using satellite technology and AI-powered analytics.

CIIF's goal, as stated by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor of Chitkara University, is to enable founders to turn bold ideas into scalable ventures with real-world impact.
