Building Unveiled at SVFU: Auditorium
In the heart of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), a unique partnership between PАO "YATEK" and the Siberian Federal University (SVFU) is fostering a rich learning environment for students and paving the way for their future careers.
This collaboration, which has been developing for many years, plays a significant role in bridging the gap between educational institutions, scientific organizations, and businesses. The Ministry of Industry and Geology of Yakutia plays a crucial part in facilitating these interactions.
Over the course of their cooperation, more than 50 students have completed practical training at PJSC "YAKTEK", with around 60 SVFU graduates finding employment within the company. PJSC "YAKTEK" serves as mentors and consultants for the execution of graduation qualifying works at SVFU, offering students the opportunity to intern and train on the production sites of the company, thereby gaining unique experience and practical skills.
Maxim Treshchenko, the Minister of Industry and Geology of Yakutia, addressed the students, stating that enrolling in the geology exploration faculty of SVFU is a good choice, and that companies like PJSC "YAKTEK" provide opportunities for future employment.
PJSC "YAKTEK" attends meetings of the commission for final state attestation of university graduates and actively participates in scientific research and development conducted at the university.
To further enhance the learning experience, PJSC "YAKTEK" will open its branded auditorium at the Yakutsk Industrial Technical School named after T.G. Desyatkin. This new auditorium, sponsored by PJSC "YAKTEK", will allow students to see the entire production process they will encounter during their production practice and later in their working activities.
Moreover, a scholarship program has been established for SVFU students who have completed practical training at PJSC "YAKTEK"'s facilities, starting from 2023. Five undergraduate and specialist students, as well as two master's students, were the first recipients of named scholarships from PJSC "YAKTEK" in the current academic year.
Company employees directly participate in the development of main educational programs at SVFU, ensuring that students receive quality education and relevant knowledge. The acting rector of SVFU, Gerasim Pavlov, summarizes that their activities aim to train personnel in conjunction with employers.
However, it is important to note that there is no publicly available detailed information specifically describing a partnership between North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU) and PJSC “Yakutsk Fuel and Energy Company” that includes scholarship programs, internships, or collaboration on scientific research. To learn more about this specific partnership, it may be necessary to consult official announcements or websites of NEFU or the Yakutsk Fuel and Energy Company directly.
On the other hand, PJSC “Yakutsk Fuel and Energy Company” is noted as a strategically important enterprise within Russia’s fuel and energy sector, involved particularly with LNG development. Yet, educational or internship partnerships are not highlighted in the sources available.
Lastly, PJSC "YATEK" organizes field-based educational and production practices annually, offering students a hands-on approach to learning and further solidifying the partnership between the company and the university. This collaboration is not only beneficial for the students but also for the industry, as it ensures a steady supply of well-trained and skilled professionals.
This collaboration between PАO "YATEK" and the Siberian Federal University (SVFU) in education-and-self-development and personal-growth, as seen in their joint projects, provides students with practical learning opportunities and equips them with unique skills required for their future careers. Company employees directly participate in developing main educational programs at SVFU, ensuring a quality education and relevant knowledge for students to realize their personal-growth and learning aspirations.
