Berufspatenproject Empowers Young People with Job Interview Skills

The Berufspatenproject, supporting young people, especially those with migration or refugee backgrounds, in their transition from school to work, has successfully concluded its job interview simulation programme. Students from BÜA classes participated in realistic interview scenarios over three weeks, with eleven experienced mentors acting as sparring partners.

The project, a collaboration between seven vocational schools, the organization, and other entities, offered students the opportunity to book appointments with fictional companies via a booking portal. After each interview, feedback and tips for further job application activities were provided.

Despite initial technical issues and missed appointments, the project was deemed successful and will continue next year. Interested parties can contact coordinator Brigitte Vogler for more information.

The Berufspatenproject aims to equip young people with the necessary skills for their working lives. It is currently seeking more life and work-experienced volunteers to mentor young people starting their careers.
