Application Notice for Scholarships at CTEVT PCL Diploma Level in 2082

For the upcoming academic year 2082/83, the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) is offering classified (free) scholarships for meritorious students pursuing Diploma and Certificate Level programs, excluding health-related fields, in Nepal.

The scholarships, which total 2,165 across 22 different programs, are designed to support students who qualify through the entrance exam and meet the eligibility criteria. The application deadline for the scholarships was Shrawan 11, 2082 (mid-July 2025).

The programs eligible for these scholarships focus on various technical and vocational disciplines, excluding health-related fields. Interested applicants must be Nepali citizens who have passed SLC/SEE from public or community schools or passed the Pre-Diploma level from CTEVT's constituent institutions.

The scholarship quotas vary depending on the specific program and total enrollment in each program. Each applicant can apply to only one program in one province and will compete only within that province. The distribution of classified scholarships is determined based on the number of approved seats in each academic program operated under institutions affiliated with CTEVT, Polytechnic Division, TECS Division, and Level Determination Division.

The scholarships are available in constituent, partnership, TECS, and private institutions affiliated with or approved by the Council. The distribution of scholarships follows specific guidelines, maintaining 100% of the total approved seat count. These seats are divided equally into two groups: General Group and Targeted Group, and scholarships are granted based on the numbers mentioned in the guidelines.

The Targeted Group includes various quotas such as Muslim (2%), Tharu (4%), People from Backward Areas (4%), Dalit from Madhesi community (3% within the Madhesi quota), Persons with Disabilities (2%), and Families of Martyrs, Disappeared Persons, Wounded Warriors, and Conflict Victims (2%). The Madhesi quota is 9%.

The list of available programs includes Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Architecture Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Computer Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering, Civil Engineering (Specialization in Hydropower), Biomedical Engineering, Agro Engineering, Agriculture (Plant Science), Agriculture (Animal Science), Food and Dairy Technology, Forestry, Hotel Management, Beauty and Cosmetology, Fashion Design.

It is important to note that if a teaching institution is unable to operate the full-fee program, the mentioned quota may be reduced accordingly. Conversely, if additional programs are approved in other institutions, the quota may increase.

For more detailed information about program-wise quotas or the list of eligible programs, applicants are advised to check the official CTEVT website or contact the CTEVT offices directly.
