The Nepal Nursing Council (NNC) has announced the Name Registration Certificate Examination, a mandatory licensing exam for both PCL Nursing and B.Sc Nursing graduates aiming to practice as registered nurses in Nepal. Here's a breakdown of the process and requirements for this important exam:

## Eligibility

To be eligible for the exam, B.Sc Nursing candidates must hold a recognised Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, while PCL Nursing candidates must have completed the Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) in Nursing from a recognised institution. All candidates must submit original academic certificates, citizenship certificate, and admit card to verify their eligibility.

## Application and Examination Process

Candidates must fill the application form for the Name Registration Examination and submit the required documents, including academic certificates and citizenship certificate. Upon successful application, candidates receive an admit card that must be presented on the examination day and for certificate collection. The exam is conducted by the Nepal Nursing Council on specified dates for each batch, testing knowledge and competencies relevant to the candidate's nursing qualification (PCL or B.Sc).

## Result and Certificate Collection

Results are announced on the official NNC portal (application.nnc.org.np) and on the council’s notice board. Successful candidates must pay NPR 2,000 via the Khalti Payment Gateway for their certificate. To collect their certificate, candidates must present original academic certificates (submitted for the exam), original copy of citizenship certificate, and original admit card. Candidates must visit the council in person, or an authorised representative with a letter of authorization.

Applications for re-totalling of results must be submitted within 35 days of result publication. For further inquiries, contact the Council at +977-1-4372521. The Nepal Nursing Council is located in Bansbari, Kathmandu.

The examination fee must be paid through the online payment gateway, Khalti. Online form submission for the examination will be accepted from 2081/10/01 to 2081/10/30. Candidates must have passed at least Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) Nursing or B.Sc Nursing to appear in the examination. The late fee period for online form submission is from 2081/11/01 to 2081/11/05 (until 5:00 PM, office hours).

The Name Registration Examination for Nepal Nursing Council will be held on Falgun 10, 2081. All required educational certificates and results notices must be published by 2081/10/30. The Nepal Nursing Council Examination Committee may conduct interviews if necessary. Candidates who have studied outside Nepal must upload an eligibility letter from the Medical Education Commission from Ashoj 15, 2077 (October 1, 2020) onward.

The examination date is 2081/11/10 (Saturday). Examinations will be held separately according to each candidate's program. Candidates must fill out the online form accurately and clearly. The examination will be conducted by the Nepal Nursing Council Examination Committee. With a late fee, the total examination fee becomes NPR 6,100.

  1. B.Sc Nursing candidates and PCL Nursing candidates need to submit their original academic certificates, citizenship certificate, and admit card to be eligible for the Name Registration Certificate Examination.
  2. Successful candidates will receive their certificates by visiting the Nepal Nursing Council in Bansbari, Kathmandu, after paying NPR 2,000 via the Khalti Payment Gateway.
