APIA Scholars welcomes Amol Dhargalkar to its Board of Directors.
In 2025, Amol Dhargalkar, Managing Partner and Board Chair at Chatham Financial, joined the Board of Directors of APIA Scholars. This move brings Dhargalkar's expertise in strategic leadership and finance to support the organization's mission of advancing academic and professional success for underserved Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students.
Dhargalkar is responsible for Chatham Financial's Global Corporates Sector, serving over 300 companies. His role includes advising on the development, execution, and ongoing management of hedging programs across interest rate, currency, and commodity risk management programs. This valuable experience lends insight to APIA Scholars' strategic growth and financial governance.
Founded in 2003, APIA Scholars is a non-profit organization dedicated to the academic, personal, and professional development of AAPI students. The organization carries out its mission through scholarships, student success programs, research, and applied partnerships.
Dr. Noël Harmon, President and Executive Director of APIA Scholars, stated that they are honored to welcome Amol Dhargalkar to the Board. Harmon emphasized that Dhargalkar's leadership and financial acumen will be invaluable in moving the organization’s mission forward.
Dhargalkar, a graduate from The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and economics, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, has advised public and private companies across various industries such as real estate, private equity, telecommunications, technology, industrials, and healthcare. He has also advised some of the world's largest companies and real asset investors over his 25 years in the industry.

These programs include academic support, leadership development, internship and career opportunities, and mentorship. The organization has been in operation since 2003, with a focus on supporting scholars who are most in need.
