"Annual 'Cultural Summer' Festival fosters artistic abilities in youth participants"
The 17th edition of the "Cultural Summer" festival is currently underway, and one of its highlights is the Children's Club event at the Al-Shamiya Theater. This year, the event offers interactive workshops designed to foster creativity and self-confidence in children.
Two main workshops are part of this year's lineup: the Radio and Television Professions workshop and the Story Writing Profession workshop.
In the Radio and Television Professions workshop, children were introduced to the world of media by Dr. Haifa Al-Sallal. The workshop focused on the role of a presenter, teaching essential skills such as emotional control, speaking abilities, and self-confidence. Practical exercises were incorporated to help children speak fluently in an engaging and motivating environment.
Meanwhile, the Story Writing Profession workshop, led by Jehan Ali, focused on the fundamentals of storytelling over two days. Children learned about elements like plot structure, character creation, setting, problem, solution, and purpose. The workshop encouraged collaboration, with older children assisting the younger ones, creating a cooperative atmosphere where ideas could be freely expressed. This approach aimed to nurture imagination and improve writing skills.
Salem Al-Kandari, a trainer with experience in several media specializations, including director, editor, and sound and lighting technician, also participated in the workshops. He provided a simplified explanation of technical tasks in the media field during his portion of the workshop.
These workshops aim to provide children with a productive way to spend their time while enhancing their intellectual capacities, creativity, imagination, and communication skills in a positive, supportive environment. The Children's Club event at the Al-Shamiya Theater is a testament to the festival's commitment to nurturing the next generation of creative minds.
- The Radio and Television Professions workshop, held as part of the Children's Club event at the Al-Shamiya Theater, aimed to develop participants' communication skills and self-confidence, making it an excellent fit for the education-and-self-development section of their lifestyle.
- The Story Writing Profession workshop, focusing on storytelling elements and fostering collaboration among children, proves that the Children's Club event at the Al-Shamiya Theater is not just about entertainment but also includes educational aspects related to their lifestyle, particularly in areas such as education-and-self-development.
