Alt-Willich & Wekeln Parade: Value Cards for Kids, Exciting News for Residents
The annual parade in Alt-Willich and Wekeln is approaching, bringing exciting news for local residents. Elementary school children will receive value cards at school after the parade, and collectors are already active in their districts, seeking donations. The event is set to take place on November 5 and 11, with additional activities planned for October and December.
The value cards can be obtained by presenting a student ID, passport, birth certificate, or similar documents at St. Katharina Parish Hall on October 8, 9, and 22 from 3 - 6 PM. The cards will grant access to various benefits and services in the community.
The organization has elected three auditors and confirmed six deputies to support the board: Maria Klasen, Frank Schäfer, Fabian Schneider, Mike Doth, Tanja Keuren, and Jens Kivelip. They will assist in ensuring the smooth operation of the event and the distribution of value cards.
Harmen Eckert has been appointed as the election leader for the upcoming years, responsible for conducting the elections for the chairman and treasurer of the organization. Next year, Claudia Kivelip and Willi Keuren are expected to take on these roles.
After the parades, children will receive their bags at their respective schools, and seniors aged 75 and above will have their bags delivered to their homes. Cardholders can also collect their bags on November 5, from 4 - 7 PM at the DJK-VFL Willich clubhouse.
The parade in Alt-Willich starts at 6 PM on November 5, and in Wekeln on November 11. With the value card distribution and bag collection organized, the event promises to be a memorable occasion for the community. The organization's efforts to engage residents and provide benefits through the value cards are commendable.
