High Point native Jonathan Bethel, formerly a student at Westchester Country Day School, has been awarded the North Carolina Textile Foundation Kimbrell Centennial Scholarship. The honors student is currently specializing in Textile Technology at North Carolina State University's Wilson College of Textiles.

In a statement, Bethel expressed his delight at the opportunity, "Being a Centennial Scholar signifies representing the NC State Wilson College of Textiles at its pinnacle.
