350 Children Explore Russian Culture in Nizhny Novgorod

A group of over 350 children from the DNR recently enjoyed a cultural and educational trip to the Nizhny Novgorod region. The 'Home on Vacation' project, organised by the House of National Unity with local government support, provided a mix of learning and leisure activities.

The young visitors, mainly from Khartsyzsk and Ilovaisk, spent time in health camps in September. They engaged in thematic quizzes about Russia's history and symbols, deepening their understanding of their cultural heritage. The documentary film 'DNA of Russia. Symbols of Russia' was shown as part of their educational programme.

In addition to academic pursuits, the children also had the opportunity to interact with professional athletes. Meetings included question-and-answer sessions and joint training, offering a unique chance for the children to learn from and connect with role models.

The 'Home on Vacation' project successfully combined education and physical development for the participating children. The House of National Unity played a crucial role in organising the visit, while the Nizhny Novgorod region's government provided necessary financial resources. The project's impact on the children's cultural understanding and personal growth is expected to be lasting.
