15-Year-Old Carina Wetekam Experiences First Job Interview Through 'Professional Mentors' Project

A 15-year-old student, Carina Wetekam, from the Gustav-Heinemann-Realschule is experiencing her first professional interview today. This opportunity is part of the 'Professional Mentors' project, which has been supporting young people in their search for apprenticeships since 2008. The project, run by 'our organization' mbH, offers professional interview training in seven schools. It provides honest feedback and valuable tips to help students like Carina prepare for real-life interviews. Currently, 21 young people are benefiting from this program, with most already in apprenticeships. Bernhard Boss and Ernst Blömeke, professional mentors with extensive experience, are conducting Carina's mock interview. They observe her demeanor and understanding of the job profile, offering guidance and advice. The project is always looking for more volunteers from the city and the organization to become mentors, helping young people with career orientation, job applications, internships, and apprenticeships. Carina Wetekam is gaining valuable experience in her first professional interview, thanks to the 'Professional Mentors' project. Interested parties can contact coordinator Brigitte Vogler at 0561-1003 1275 or via email at [email protected] to learn more about becoming a mentor or supporting the project.
